A new leap in online and e-recruitment: extract DNA out of resumes!

Extract the DNA of resumes and build a powerful knowledge database!
We’re all familiar with one’s DNA : the characteristics that makes someone unique, containing all information describing that person. A resume is not different. A resume’s DNA consists of all visible information found in the resume, and equally important all latent information that could be part of, or related to it.

Actonomy ‘Resume DNA Extractor’ extracts important information from resumes and creates a powerful knowledge base consisting of sets of competences, skills, task descriptions, job descriptions, educations, etc. This knowledge base – structured in an ontology – enhances matching and searching processes in combination with fuzzy matching technology such as Actonomy xMP.

Extracting resume DNA allows to :

• Automatically expand search criteria to all relevant information that resides in the knowledge database and that is relevant for the search.

• Enrich both vacancies and resumes with ‘latent’ information that was not explicitely mentioned in the candidate’s resume but that usually is part of similar profiles (hence ‘latent’ information!).

By using both visible and latent information, searches for both jobs and resumes get much more intelligent than what can be achieved with traditional keyword based search or query based solutions on the market today.

Finding better candidates faster, becomes reality for recruiters!
